Botanical Still Lifes

I started this series asking whether a scanner can capture still lifes that truly feel like a painting. Each series uses thoughtful textures, careful placement, and rich color palettes to build dynamic micro-landscapes that answer that question.

Wild Mushrooms, 2025

In this series, I explore creating rich micro-landscapes with different types of mushrooms and botanicals.

Grandpa Don’s Wildflowers, 2025

My grandpa is known for his stunning wildflower garden. I’ve spent the last twenty years capturing images from it to preserve these treasured memories. We planted the first batch of wildflowers, lilac bushes, and pine trees all the way back in 2004.
